Stunning lazurite specimen with multiple clusters of ultramarine blue lazurite on white calcite marble! The major crystal is literally 2 inches (5 cm) tip to tip, and doubly-terminated! It is perfectly exposed on matrix. The color on this is as robust and deep as I have ever seen or wished for. Two clusters of large, royal-blue lazurite crystals are dramatically accented by off-white calcite marble and flecks of brassy yellow pyrite. A very sculptural piece with distinctly angular and elongate groups of crystals. It is hard to describe this 3-dimensional and incredibly color-saturated specimen accurately with flat photos, and we believe it is much better in person. Displays well in a few orientations and sits nicely either horizontally or vertically, as you might prefer in person. The large crystal makes it important. The color and geometries make it beautiful. This is a prize piece I first owned over a decade ago and I know it dates to the early 2000's, and bought back recently.
