A sharp, metallic, lustrous, competition-worthy chalcocite thumbnail specimen from "the other old classic locality" in the USA, whereas most others came from Cornwall in the 1800s. If anything, a good USA chalcocite from this old lead mine is even more rare, as this was the source of important lead ore, even during the US Civil War. You can imagine how few specimens were saved from the crusher. From the award-winning thumbnail collection of Sharon and William Panczner, author of the book Minerals Of Mexico, and last seen and exhibited in the 1960s.
