The short lived open pit mine at Flambeau produced a plethora of fine multi-colored and generally lustrous, chalcocite crystals. They are considered among the best in the world for the species, and are certainly among the best from any modern location (1990s, so i date myself in saying that). This specimen a single large twin, with splaying edges, to 3.8 cm across. It is an elegant, complete, 360 degree crystal of perfect balance. The mine site is now covered, and reclaimed - no more will come out.
