The most desired color for Panasqueira Fluorapatite has always been the gemmy purple, barrel shaped crystals. This is a prime example and a competition quality "toenail" (small miniature or large thumbnail), to boot. It features a pristine, 2.5cm, gemmy to translucent, lustrous, purple Fluorapatite crystal, associated with a small mound of creamy colored Siderite crystals at the base and a small portion of a Ferberite crystal on the bottom. There is a minor dusting of tiny, sparkly Pyrite crystals on the Siderite for added interest. It has marvelous aesthetics and great composition! Unusually balanced for the size, it takes amazing photos!
