This specimen consists of a beautiful burst of Calcite crystals growing on a single Calcite "stem" crystal, from Burma. The divergent cluster of transparent to translucent, slender Calcite crystals resembles a flower budding on a slightly more robust Calcite "stem" producing a nicely composed and aesthetic piece. There are only a couple of incomplete crystals within the burst that aren't noticeable among the other dozen crystals. The larger Calcite that makes up the "stem" is terminated at the top and contacted at the bottom. A beautiful miniature. Truly unique for the location and a little treasure purchased on the ground at one of the stone markets in Burma. Mark Mauthner photo.
