- Miniature, 4.6 x 3.7 x 2.9 cm
- Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe, Rudnyi Altai, Western-Siberian Region, Russia
An interconnected cluster of splendent, dark red, octahedra is surmounted by a single, large cuprite crystal, measuring 2.1 cm in length. Dramatic display from three sides, though the back side has been contacted. The piece is listed for about half the price one would think, looking at the size and display of the major crystal, only because there are a few tiny bruises on the front side, to the tips of the flanking small crystals. This detracts a little bit visually if you look close, but not form the overall impact or significance of the piece.
