This specimen features a GEMMY to translucent, 9mm Norbergite crystal perched on Calcite matrix from which it has been carefully exposed. It has a rich, silky luster similar to Mogok Rubies. This is a SUPER crystal for the species, from any locality, and for Mogok its actually quite rare. A friend who deals in rare gems said a Norbergite crystal such as this would cut an unusually fine stones for the species, so this unusual and rare magnesium silicate has cutting rough value! Sacrilege, I know, but there you have it. A beautiful golden fluorescence adds even more to the romance and value of this piece.
