Terrific little Calcite gem mined at the Denton Mine in 1984. The rich amber color is outstanding, as is the luster, equant form, and striated faces. With the Calcite being so gemmy, it shimmers in the light. On careful examination, the axial edges are beveled, which creates very attractive elongated windows on this crystal. Light orange fluorescence is a bonus. There is very minor edgewear in just a few spots, but it has no real effect on the impact visually, and overall tis is a very fine thumbnail. RCL 007 - an early number in the collection and one of the few thumbnails kept.
