Tinted yellow by chromium, Chrome Cerussite is actually quite rare. The crystals grow in fine ribbons, and they are abundant across the specimen. Where you see the snowflakes, the Cerussite is actually reticulated. This is one of the most desired crystal habits for this mineral. The Dundas area is well known deposit for this rare occurrence of Chromium Cerussite. There have only been a few pockets, over many years, of this rare material. It is a chocie example from the collections of Richard Barstow and Giancarlo Fioravanti. Fioravanti notes that he obtained it from Barstow in 1976.
