Exhibiting beautiful twinning, this very old cerussite is lustrous and translucent, and nearly colorless. Contact to the bottom of one member of the twin has occurred, yet this very soft mineral is still compelling and aesthetic. Accompanied by three very old labels. I am unfamiliar with cerussite from this locale, but I certainly have not SEEN any others on the market here. The brown label is from the NY State Museum, and probably is from a well-known George Kunz collection they bought. It's now been brought to our attention that the mine is in the Bad Ems region.
