Here is a cluster of gemmy and glassy, pale champagne Topaz crystals on matrix from Dassu, Pakistan, from the collection of dealer Herb Obodda (who brought it out in the 1990s). It features seven gem Topaz crystals aesthetically set on an white Albite matrix for great composition and aesthetics. The two largest crystals are 4.3 and 3.8 cm, respectively, and both are doubly-terminated! The crystals are brilliantly lustrous and all of them have an internal sparkle to them. The Albite matrix is composed of a fine crystalline coating on top of bladed Cleavelandite as can be seen from the underside. The piece is very three-dimensional and sits beautifully on its own. It is in excellent condition, pristine to the naked eye with only trace edge wear on super close inspection on one edge. A classic and beautiful example of the species and locality from the Obodda collection.
