A rich champagne color characterizes this richly colored Topaz crystal from Pakistan. This is a robust, largely transparent, glassy lustered crystal with some veiled inclusions. It has sharply formed faces and edges with small, pyramidal faces present and a flat pinacoid termination that exhibits some barely discernible, low-profile hillocks. The crystal is pristine other than its contact at the base where it was removed from the pocket. Gorgeous example from the pegmatite of the Hindu Kush of Pakistan. 87.1 grams and was formerly in the Smale collection by the early 2000s.
