This complete all around cluster is a "floater" with no attachment points. It is an intergrown cluster of dark red cuprite octahedra, highlighted by a sharply-terminated and freestanding crystal, measuring 2 cm in edge or 3 cm in length perched atop. The specimen is nearly pristine with only a tiny bruise on a terminal face of one of the smaller crystals. It is very dramatic in person, and the main crystal more visibly "pops out." Although only slightly less in luster than others, it has a more evident red color without strong lighting, too. (and is better in perso than the photos reflect)
