A stunning specimen displaying Christmas colors, with brilliant red Cuprite clusters of unusual quality for Tsumeb, growing against contrast of white Dolomite and green-tinted, Malachite included Dolomite. Two of the Cuprite clusters consist of tiny (<1mm), sparkling, dark red crystals, a third one is comprised of lustrous, red Cuprites to 3mm, with the prominent aggregate a 2 x 2cm, nubby, rounded group of deep red crystals measuring 2 to 4mm in size. The red Cuprites are offset by starkly contrasting, small (<2mm) white Dolomite crystals that densely cover much of the surface with some areas of Dolomite tinted a bright green from numerous, minute inclusions of Malachite! A very nicely composed piece with unusual combinations. ex Charlie Key collection.
