Cornetite is a rare, hydrated copper phosphate. This very fine, vuggy specimen in chrysocolla matrix is very richly lined with scintillating, vivid teal-blue cornetite microcrystals. A striking and beautiful combination specimen, as the variable colors of chrysocolla are a fine compliment to the teal-blue cornetite. This extra fine piece, from a new find is from the Type Locality - the Star of the Congo Mine.
