Beryl (Var: Heliodor)
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
Miniature, 3.4 x 3.3 x 2.7 cm
An old-timer gem crystal of golden beryl (heliodor) from Brazil, terminated on top, and naturally healed on the bottom and a couple of contacts (which it probably got when it broke loose in the pocket), so that it is technically a doubly-terminated floater. It is very gemmy through the interior, and the top termination is nice and glassy. A sizeable and chunky crystal, weighing 60 grams.
