- Beryl (Var: Aquamarine)
- Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Baltistan, Northern Areas, Pakistan
- Miniature, 4.7 x 3.7 x 2.7 cm
When it comes to Aquamarine, Pakistan is the most productive country for specimens in the modern age of mineral collecting. Some of the very finest quality Aquamarine specimens come from the various pegmatites in the Paki Himalayas, especially in the Shigar Valley. This specimen features a very good quality, sharp, GEM quality crystal with top glassy luster and a typical "Aqua" blue color sitting a beautiful bladed white "ball" of Albite. Aquas are always high in demand, and gem quality specimens are not as easy to find as one might think.
