Beryl, Beryl (Var: Goshenite)
Small Cabinet, 7.7 x 7.3 x 4.5 cm
Linopolis, Divino das Laranjeiras, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil

This is a large crystal of transparent beryl that has been intricately etched by corrosive solutions that flowed through the pocket sometime after the crystal had formed. The result is this weird, jagged, but still transparent crystal - hard to photograph, much better and more glassy in person. It is riveting, and complete all around! 7.7 x 7.3 x 4.5 cm
