A rarity. Most people never heard of this place, it is so obscure...I certainly had not, until a few years ago when I first saw this piece in John's collection. Tschudi is a small mine, or prospect rather, that produced just a few specimens, I am told, something like 70 years ago. You can imagine how scarce they are today. This one is typical of the find in appearance, but I am told it is one of the best and it certainly SEEMS nice by any standard, anyhow. Radiating, bladed, lustrous, neon blue azurite has formed an aesthetic rosette. Some of the bladed crystals are in the process of being pseudomorphed by rich, green malachite. The color and luster is just outstanding. Ex. John Schneider Collection.
