NEW! Cavansite and Powellites
Feb 23, 2022 - We've assembled a fine selection of Indian specimens; powellite crystals from Summer 2020, and cavansites from a decades-old collection.
In the summer of 2020, a new pocket of powellites was found in Pandulena Hills, around 8 km from Nasik, and the habits are starkly different from the blockier crystals we're more used to seeing from more classic locales in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. These pointy, honey-colored powellite crystal clusters are more reminiscent of what we might imagine to be orange apophyllites than of powellites!
The cavansites presented here are from a high-graded collection acquired over 20 years, with electric blue color and fine aesthetics, with saturated cavansites on stilbite (and even a cavansite on mordenite!)
