A gorgeous specimen with the most saturated and neon color of cavansite, contrasted on pure white stilbite matrix. It features unusual 3-dimensionality to both species, but what really makes it special besides the color and aesthetics, standing above so many others, is that it shows BOTH styles of cavansite crystals here on one specimen: the classical ball shapes of aggregated crystals in a radial mass; and the much more rare textbook isolated crystals in both singles and in bowtie or pinwheel sprays. The contrasts of color and shape are striking, but then seeing two different crystal habits of cavansite on one piece is the further bonus. The largest hot blue ball-like cluster is 2 cm, and many of the isolated crystals reach nearly 1 cm, with some sprays to 1.5 cm. Although cavansite is common enough, this is a very special and refined specimen, and was purchased by us directly from India and sold from a special pocket many years ago, around 2015.
