Okorusu fluorites are legendary among fluorite collectors for the complex color palette, the phantoms, and the forms of the fluorites which have come out in so many styles since the 1970s or so. Old ones are green and recognizable, and this is also a recognizable style from finds of around 2008-2013 with sharp cubic crystals showing phantoms that are generally, strangely perhaps, oriented 90 degrees to the exterior cube faces. Here you can see sharp purple cubes within cubes of colorless fluorite, rotated 90 degrees within. Also some strange elongated stepped cubic crystal phantoms within simpler clear cubes, also rotated 90 degrees from the exterior layer... it is mesmerizing and fascinating, every angle. This is one of the larger fine pieces of this style, that is also entirely translucent. Crystals run 3 to 4.5 cm on edge. It is in superb condition. See the video, as the video best conveys the complexity of form and geometry that the camera has a hard time separating, due to the clarity of the outer layer of colorless fluorite.
