Sharp blue fluorites, actually consisting of multiple generations of fluorite growth one upon another, came out of Inner Mongolia starting in the mid 2010s and became a Contemporary Chinese classic. To my eye, the best specimens are these rare pieces with spaced out crystals on white matrix, showing a startling and eye catching contrast of the deep blue against the frosted white quartz. This is a particularly well-balanced example in the small cabinet size range, with a sharp cube to 2.7 cm on edge. The closer you look, the more detail. While these are not particularly rare, this quality combined with the dramatic look of an isolated crystal, is indeed uncommon in such quality (and it is pristine, complete all around).
