Beautiful, GEMMY, and elongated crystals of Cuprian Adamite combine to form a fine large thumbnail specimen from the Christiana Mine at Lavrion. It is a floater, complete and ethereal all around! The slender crystals join together to form the curving 'pinwheel' clusters that are classic for Adamite. The luster is excellent, causing the surface of the spherical aggregates to sparkle, and the chisel-point terminations add a scintillating, almost floral, texture that is enhanced by the gemminess and luster. Found in 2018, this is an aesthetic and significant thumbnail that surely has to rank among better examples of species in the size range - and is noticeably distinct from Mexican or Tsumeb material. It sparkles like glass, even in minimal light.
