This beautiful small cabinet specimen of uvarovite garnet came out of a European collection and is likely an old specimen from this classic location. It is well prepared with so many exposed garnets, and they have an unusually high luster to them. They are not huge, at 3-5mm, but they are sharp and highly lustrous — more so than most others we have seen from this ancient and classic locality.
