A rich, sparkling plate of matrix is festooned with flat laying, ball-like clusters of olmiite on this showy and sparkling large specimen from the circa-2000 finds at the Kalahari Manganese Fields. When these were found, people could not believe it. The species ceased to be rare overnight. There were many. BUT that was 20-plus years ago and they are in short supply now. This is a large, showy plate with sparkling clusters to 2.6 cm, spread out all over the display face. Some of the red-orange clusters have "burnt" brownish edges in contrast. It is very difficult to photograph these, and even in videos, they change in different lights and lighting angles. Better in person!
