This large, gorgeous blue specimen is composed of numerous calcite crystals in the hundreds, all included evenly by a beautiful blue aurichalcite. This is an extremely large example of this very rare association, classic from a few finds at Ojuela from the 1980s till today. It would have come out in the early 2000s, and was kept as a cornerstone display piece in this collection of generally miniatures to small cabinet sized specimens simply for color impact. A back of the case, middle shelf specimen with a burst of blue color. It is not without some damage, but this is in context to the size and richness of color. Specimens of this size are almost nonexistent, and the material was produced in only some small pockets, with a lot fewer specimens compared to other finds at Ojuela.
