This sparkling specimen is a forest of glassy hemimorphite crystals with special luster, growing on and largely enveloping a blanket of sharp yellow-green adamite crystals. The association is somewhat unusual, although known, from Ojuela, but this is a particularly rich and sparkling specimen. The adamite is deeply fluorescent, as well. Like most specimens in the Avila collection, he kept a small cabinet sized example of a special pocket which to him, was a bit different from the historic and more common styles. This collection documents this rarity and breadth of styles, even for a species as common here as hemimorphite.
