Emplaced in a shallow vug in massive, green hedenbergite, are highly lustrous, forest green hedenbergite crystals that exhibit flashing green highlights. These crystals reach 1.2 cm across and sit on a groundmass of drusy, colorless quartz. For the species, superb crystal quality and luster, and a rich display specimen. Very uncommon in this quality over 100 years of mining in Broken Hill.
