This sharp and freestanding rosette of inesite is a rare example of the radial clusters found in early mining here in the early 2000s, and such specimens have not been seen on the market in nearly two decades. The cluster is perfect, complete all around 360 degrees, 2.5 cm tall and a little less wide. The color is perfect, the shape is perfect, and the balance is perfect as a fine display miniature. Long in the collection of Dr. Steve Smale of Berkeley. Steve lived on and off in Hong Kong in the glory years of Chinese mineral exports, and built a massive and important collection specializing in combinations, miniatures, and aesthetics. This piece, for balance and size, is a fine example, rarely seen today.
