Rare for China, this is a select cluster of gemmy, light pink, windowpane crystals of Fluorapophyllite from the Fengjiashan Mine. The zoned, tabular crystals cover much of the matrix, with the largest being 3 cm across. In excellent condition, the Apophyllites have very good, glassy to pearly luster on the faces as well as the edges. The best of these came out around 1998-99 and their equals have not turned up since until a small pocket came out in pillar-robbing earlier this year in 2019 (however, these older ones are more lustrous, I would say). A highly aesthetic small cab, it is considerably better in person, even. ex Smale collection. TOTALLY UNIQUE in China and in the world for these gemmy tabular blades, these are superbly crystallized minerals that should not be taken lightly just because this is a common species overall.
