A large, impressive, pale blue spinel twinned Fluorite crystal sits atop a sliver of Quartz matrix in this impressive piece from the famed Yaogangxian Mine in China. The complex, 6cm, essentially transparent Fluorite crystal has an asymmetrical, medium purple interior and a pale blue exterior and the spinel twin that is obvious even upon casual inspection! The satin lustered Fluorite has no damage. Even minor backlighting makes this Fluorite glow! The big twin is perched on a milky Quartz matrix fragment and displays decisively in a vertical orientation! ex Steve Smale collection, and a VERY unique specimen. This should be from a certain infamous pocket, of around 2005.
