A beautiful flower of gray calcite from Eastern Europe - actually consisting of stacked, thin, flattened RHOMBS, though they do not appear to be at first glance. Highly aesthetic, and in pristine condition. This is a superb example for the size, and strangely biological in appearance. It retains an old label from dealer Ross Lillie, who first brought out so many of the Romanian materials in the late 1990s and early 2000s, noting this was mined in 2002. It is elegant, and perfect, and a complete floater all around with no damage. I bought this from Ross at a show, in the early 2000s. I kept in my personal collection of calcites (which I collected and owned from 1985-2005, sold entire, and then mostly bought back some years later - a long story).
