Sharp zoning creates purple "phantoms" within these razor-sharp fluorites, with dozens of crystals to approximately 1 cm in size on average carpeting a quartz matrix plate, from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. This is a gorgeous plate, with unusually good condition and coverage, and all of those sharp phantoms pointing right out at the viewer. Despite decades of mining here, this was a new style, that came out in a large single pocket of early 2020. While many came out, most had damage or bad aesthetics, and we selected only a few very fine specimens to present to you, emphasizing display angles that show the sharp phantoms within.
