Grossular Garnet
Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Les Sources RCM, Estrie, Quebec, Canada
Small Cabinet, 7.9 x 5.6 x 3.4 cm
SOLD

This Grossular Garnet cluster consists of a multitude of lustrous, scintillating, pink crystals from the celebrated Jeffrey Mine in Quebec, Canada. Now closed to collecting, this is a sad loss to collectors, but the closure does ensure value in what came out. The delicate, pale pink-peach Garnet crystals are juxtaposed yet still have good isolation and every one of them is a gem! There are dozens of crystals on this piece that just sparkle in every orientation. The color here is a little more peach-colored than is typical, which makes it stand out. Each crystal has perfect form and brilliant luster with very faint striations on select crystal faces. Contacted in places around the periphery and the bottom.
