Rogerley Mine fluorites rarely present with large, isolated crystals, as this does. This balanced miniature displays a dramatic, richly saturated, green, pair of sharp, twinned crystals with uniform color and excellent luster. The transparent twins measure 3.2 x 3.2 x 2.2 cm in size and are accompanied by several smaller crystals; and all of them display nicely on a bed of small green fluorites with cloudy white cores for contrast. All of that is perched like a green blanket on a small amount of brownstone matrix at the base. Definitely more gemmy and dramatic in person than the photos, or than most such specimens. This piece has a very rare balance and poise to it, and it is much more evident in person. Ex Kay Robertson collection (an old specimen from pre-modern mining eras as it has an old brown sticker with a previous owner's catalog number on the bottom, though sadly her catalog number was lost in cleaning and we cannot trace the history fully).
