Hemimorphite with Smithsonite
Mammoth-Saint Anthony Mine, Tiger, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA
Small Cabinet, 8.3 x 7.3 x 4.8 cm
Ex. William Pinch

A matrix of white coliform bladed hemimorphite serves as the substrate for yellow-green mounds and small botryoids of smithsonite and a later generation of white divergent hemimorphite sprays and crusts. Along the margins of the piece, thick, coliform bands of hemimorphite are obvious and add distinct character to the specimen. Hemimorphite was one of the zinc ore minerals from the Mammoth-St. Anthony mine. An unusual combination specimen from this locality that exhibits great textures and contrasts. Ex. William Pinch Collection with label.
