Elbaite Tourmaline "Glass top"
Paprok, Kamdesh District, Nuristan Prov., Afghanistan
Small Cabinet, 7.3 x 2.3 x 1.8 cm
SOLD
Exhibiting the classic, bicolored, green and pink hues for which Paprok is noted, this glassy crystal exhibits the more rare and desirable bipyramidal termination that collectors covet. Terminations like this, sharp and with the inense glassy luster instead of just "shiny," are 1 in 1000 and are separated dramatically from the crowd in pricing and desirability. Specimens of this size with such a termination, AND with luster and color, are 1 in 2500 maybe. No repairs. The mass is 61 grams. This is quite simply a thick, robust, juicy jewel of a tourmaline. Comes with custom lucite base.
