These Nepalese gem tourmalines are old classics, immediately recognizable to tourmaline groupies for the unusual yellow tones. I do not know when this one came out, but I saw similar in the 1990s and have not seen any recent large find, so I can only assume it is from years ago (and in any case was in a private collection for most of the last decade). It has remarkable gemminess and a deep green cap, high luster, and is perfect all around. 23 grams. When standing next to other tourmalines from other more common localities, it leaps out to the eye.
