A very old specimen with unique aesthetics, as large quartz crystals are rare from the District and association with fluorite - almost never seen! Possibly mined ca. 1940s to 1950s, this specimen consists of a matrix of stubby, lustrous and translucent, colorless quartz crystals to 1.7 cm upon which a layer of glassy and gemmy, light purple fluorite crystals, to 6 mm across are dripped like sugar cubes.
