Rubies from this classic locale are seldom found in good, aesthetic specimens. This piece features a 2-cm ruby crystal perched elegantly on a well trimmed matrix, and it has a great waxy luster and rich pink-red color. The rubies from here are typically more pink than Mogok rubies, and this specimen shows the best pink-red color that I like as a collector. The termination is full and sharp.
