Recently, the gem tracts around Luc Yen have produced some very attractive and large Spinel crystals. These are easily some of the largest individual Spinel crystals to come out of any locality. This specimen is a rather large, lustrous, translucent, sharp, "Spinel-Law" twinned crystal. The color is a deep brick red hue, and when strongly backlit, the crystal will pass light. Ex.
