A HISTORIC and IMPRESSIVE native silver from the famous Cobalt District of Ontario, Canada. This sculptural, arrowhead-shaped CABINET specimen is a THICK silver plate and has a very nice patina. The bit of matrix quartz is a nice accent. Silver was discovered at Cobalt in 1903 by railroad workers and a silver rush soon followed. This super piece was collected at the famed Nipissing Mine in 1907, according to the accompanying label. Ex. Ed David Collection. Hefty at 402 grams or 14.2 ounces.
