A tight nest of ropy but sturdy silver wires forms a beautiful, solid cluster on this classic example of a Kazakhstan silver. These mainly came out in the 1990s, and we have not seen any in a long time. This particular piece is unusually robust. Interestingly, they now consider silver ropes and wires to be crystals, actually elongated and spinel twinned.
