Intense purple tones inside of clear quartz, characteristic of fine amethysts from Guerrero, characterize this beautiful specimen. The strange "ingrown" tip of the large crystal is a natural anomaly, not contact or damage. There are a couple of unterminated crystals at the periphery that do not detract, and a few slight contacts on very close inspection, but really this is a fabulous display piece and of a quality hard to get and rare een when they were in their mining heyday.
