This single crystal has an incredible rich dark hue, the deepest color saturation combined with the best transparency. The chattering at the rear of the termination keeps this specimen from being MUCH more expensive, i.e. thousands of dollars. Nonetheless, it shows wonderfully as from the front you do not see the slight wear on the back angled edge of the terminations to the rear. On display in a showcase, at eye level, this will glow, impress, and literally look like the finest amethyst for the size you can imagine.
