This pristine cluster of frosted, creamy pink colored, lustrous, translucent, manganoan calcite rhombs, is just spectacular. Dating from the 1960's finds here by its style, this specimen has a dusting of tiny chalcopyrite crystals as well as pyrite. The largest rhomb is 5.0 cm on a side. Oh by the way, this specimen fluoresces a vivid orange on long wave ultraviolet light. I know this is "just calcite," but I believe it deserves high status for the quality not only just for the locality, but for a sharp rhombohedral calcite, period!
