A SUPERB, OLD-TIME and UNIQUE sceptered calcite specimen from St. Andreasberg, Germany. A fat, complex, colorless calcite rhomb sits spiked atop a pedestal of an earlier generation of calcite. You can see the pedestal within the rhomb. The transparent rhomb, interestingly, has some water-clear faces and some lightly frosted faces. The rhomb is pristine, except for the contacting on the back, which is out of sight. CLASSIC material, with an old label in German. Ex. George Elling Collection.
