Muzo Mine, Muzo, Vasquez-Yacopi Mining District, Boyaca Department, Colombia
Miniature, 3.3 x 1.9 x 1.9 cm
A beautifully gemmy and lustrous, 1.1 cm, emerald crystal attractively set on the side of a grayish-white calcite cleavage from the famous Muzo Mine of Colombia. The crystal has great green color intensity and the faces are very lightly frosted. The upper 2 mm of the crystal is particularly gemmy. Highly representative of the species and locality.
