Red beryls have become ridiculously hard to get at a reasonable price as the supply has drained from the market (and they were never cheap to start with). This is a fine 1.6-cm crystal, doubly-terminated, with intense red color. There is a little nick on the edge of one end, but it does not detract much and the price for the color quality is really low, in my opinion. Fine glassy luster on the faces and terminations. The rhyolite matrix can be trimmed to produce a specimen of any desired size. This piece is out of the Marion Stuart collection, and comes with one of her custom acrylic display label/stands. Her index card is with it, showing it to have been acquired 25 years ago at the Tucson Show. 8 x 5.8 x 4 cm
